Rocky is affected with the sickness of procrastination, sickness, and misintrepretation of Achebe September 19, 2007

I have to disagree with Achebe, saying that the abuse of language is a bad thing.  I think one of the great things about language is the ability to manipulate words and meanings.  Not everything is black and white.  I know politicians and and advertisers misrepresents their words, but I believe that keeps my mind sharp and on my toes.  If language wasn’t abuse then we would never put any thought into what the person is trying to say.  With abuse we can comptiplate and get different meanings to sayings, therefore making it more personalized to us.  This also helps people find other people that think like them because they can say something like, ”Dude, thats what I thought Ozzie Osbourne was trying to say. ”  Abuse is usually a bad thing, but in this case I think it has positive effects.
